PT Worship Pastor

First Baptist Church Black Forest Colorado (in a growing suburb of Colorado Springs, of 550 in church attendance) is seeking a part-time Blended Worship Service Music Minister. The hours needed are approximately 15 per hours week and the salary is $18,000 per annum.

JOB DESCRIPTION OF WORSHIP PASTOR FOR THE BLENDED SERVICE AT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF BLACK FOREST, COLORADO



PRINCIPAL FUNCTION:



This Worship Pastor is responsible to the Pastor in serving FBCBF members and visitors by providing guidance and direction in the blended worship service(s) and any related activity.



SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:



1. Directs music and worship for the blended worship service.

Must be a lead worshiper as well as a worship leader of the blended worship service

Reviews and approves music activities for the blended worship service

Prepares the adult choir and blended service praise team for the blended worship service

Oversees the orchestra for the blended worship service

Coordinates with the worship pastor of the contemporary worship service as needed

Supervises the children’s choirs and their coordinator(s)

Oversees the audio/visual system personnel for the blended service

Develops music for special events such as Christmas, Easter, Roundup, etc.

Directs worship in the contemporary worship service when needed

Coordinates with the worship arts ministry



2. Performs other functions as assigned by the Pastor.
