Piano Accompanist Needed

Crosswood United Methodist Church, Marion, Ohio is seeking a piano accompanist with the following qualifications:

Proficiency in keyboard skills including reading music, lead sheets and chord charts, as well as improvisational skills.

Responsibilities:

Play the piano for Sunday morning services (traditional service at 9 a.m. and contemporary service at 11 a.m.), including prelude music, songs for congregational singing, choir numbers, offertories, communion music, and postlude music.

Practice during the week with the choir, the praise band, and other special groups (singers in various combinations, children’s choir, etc.).

Play music during seasonal services such as Christmas Eve and Holy Week.

Hours: approximately 5 to 6 hours per week

Salary range: $85 to $110 per week depending on education and experience.
