Organist/Choirmaster

Seeking candidates for a ¼ time (10 hours per week) position as Organist-Choirmaster at historic St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Bennington, Vermont.

Duties include the following:
• Conducting rehearsals for the adult, adult modern, and youth choirs
• Playing organ and leading choir at weekly Sunday 10:00 service and major feast and holy days
• Planning music according to liturgical cycle and per Rector’s approval

Necessary qualifications:
• Familiarity with church organ repertoire
• Foundation in Episcopal choral tradition

Bennington, Vermont is a classic New England town located in the southwest corner of the state, close to the borders of Massachusetts and New York, on the western slope of the Green Mountains.
