Organist/Accompanist Position in NJ

Position: Church Keyboardist/Organist Needed

APPOINTMENT: part-time, organist/keyboardist/accompanist

QUALIFICATIONS: Keyboard proficient (piano/organ/synth)Experience with church services. Music degree preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide music for Sunday worship at the 10:30 a.m. service including hymns, communion music, preludes, postludes, and accompanying the choir or other special music. Accompany the choir in weekly rehearsals prior to service - September through May. Willingness to start or experience with Praise Choirs and/or Youth Choirs is a plus. The selected candidate will also provide music for Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, possibly Good Friday, and Christmas Eve and/or special services as needed. Will participate in staff meetings as necessary.

SALARY: Base salary of $6,500.00 yearly. Extra services, weddings, and funerals will be additional stipend.

The organ is an Allen Electronic with two manuals and there are two upright pianos in the sanctuary as well as one in our fellowship hall.
