Organist, Keyboardist

Position Purpose: Seeking a Church Musician that is highly motivated and spiritually lead to set the tone of Praise and Worship that is conducive for the atmosphere of praising God. The Musician must be able to assist or lead worship services of Christ Tabernacle Apostolic Church (CTAC) by using the keyboard/piano and/or organ to lift the congregation in music for the praising of God.

Supervision: The Church Musician serves under the supervision of the Director of Music.
Responsibilities:
1. Participate in selecting and providing music at all church worship services; Sunday, mid-week worship services, and all other church celebrations of worship (Weddings, Funerals)
2. Be available to provide music for all occasions held at the church as requested. Fees for these services are not provided by the church, but are the honorariums from persons at an amount set by church policy.
3. The use of any musical instruments at CTAC may be used only by special permission and the Church Musician would provide oversight.
4. Oversee the maintenance of musical instruments.
5. Attend weekly choir rehearsals as well as schedule musicians’ rehearsals.
6. Educate and train musicians; recruit and facilitate participation from all age groups within the congregation.
Working Conditions:
1. Musician will rehearse sufficiently to maintain a high quality of sound.
2. Cooperate with the Music Department so that the Music Ministry is maintained as a vital part of the congregation.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of the Bible
2. Ability to work well with others
3. Knowledge of contemporary and traditional gospel music
