OPPORTUNITIES:
Within two years of this hire, we expect to select a new hymnal and consider implementing new multimedia elements to our worship time; this position will play a key role in this process, including teaching the congregation new hymns in creative ways. Some knowledge of “emergent” style worship is a plus. We currently employ a Pastor, who was called to the church within the last year, and an Organist, who is a veteran and long-time member of the church. Our congregation is part of a cohort of other churches undergoing a three-year Congregational Vitality program, out of which we expect to become a healthier, more attractional and mission-centered congregation. Our worship time is 10 am year-round and our choir rehearsals are Wednesday nights; we have special worship times on holidays and at other special events around the year as well.

SUPERVISION:
Upon hire, the successful candidate will be a probationary employee for three months and receive an evaluation from the Pastor in cohort with the church Consistory. After this, the employee will be supervised jointly by the Pastor and the Worship Committee in cohort with the church Consistory, and will receive an annual evaluation. A standing job description will be developed after the hire and periodically reviewed.
