Minister of Music/Worship Leader

The United Church of Christ in Warminster is seeking a quarter time Minister of Music. The successful candidate will be a gifted pianist and vocalist, versed in both traditional hymns and contemporary praise music. We are seeking a person of faith to be a Worship Leader able to reach out to people of all ages to increase participation in the worship service.

• Qualities we are looking for
o Being able to work with all age groups
o Versed and experienced in playing contemporary praise music and traditional hymns
o Musician who leads worship music
o View this as a ministry: Person of faith who understands worship and the moment of worship
o Internet savvy
o Worship leader
o Expand choir to be the church choir, not an "adult" choir
o Capable of getting people of all ages to be in the choir
o Able to be a "community organizer". Get people. Network. Reach into the congregation.
o Think outside the box of the usual "choir director"
o Pianist

o $17,000 /yr
o 4 weeks paid time off
o Quarter time (approx.. 10 hrs/ week)
o Weekly rehearsal
o Typically one worship service per week
o Network with all generations
