Job Opening for Music Director/Choir Director

Grace Episcopal Church in Middletown, NY (75 miles NW of New York City) is seeking a Music Director/Choir Director. This part-time position includes directing the Adult Choir, supervising the organist, overseeing organ maintenance and choosing hymns and service music. The position is immediately available. The choir currently consists of 15 singers, including several professional musicians. Repertoire tends toward classical and traditionally Anglican music, recently including Anglican Chant, Choral Evensong and Advent Lessons & Carols services. We are looking for an energetic choral musician with an appreciation and knowledge of the Episcopal liturgy and the role of music in it. Keyboard skills desirable. Salary $9250.00.

Grace Church is located at the heart of Middletown and is locally known for presenting beautiful liturgy and music in a wonderful, vaulted sanctuary. An excellent Steinway grand piano and Austin pipe organ are available and the choir seating area was recently renovated with risers added for excellent sight lines.
