Easy Acoustic Guitar Tab gets you playing fast

Easy acoustic guitar tab is the language guitarists use to play music visually. Tab is short for ”tablature”. You might think of it as a short cut to learning to read music. But reading tab can help improve music reading too.

Why is it so popular?

Reading easy acoustic guitar tab gets you playing your favorite song quickly. Even if you only know a little section, to see it displayed by numbers on lines is helpful. Those lines represent strings. You can increase your learning speed by letting what you know guide you to figuring out what you don't.

If you play by ear and have never taken the time to learn to read, then tab is for you. And its popularity seems to be growing because more guitarists play by looking at the fretboard than looking at music notes and time signatures.

This example

Enough words – how about an example?

Very well, then. First, let's look at the fretboard diagram below. Along the bottom of the diagram you notice some numbers. These correspond to frets on the guitar neck. The6th string is on the bottom, the 1st string is on the top.

The numbers on the string indicate which fret to press your finger. Check the fretboard picture to clarify strings and frets.

In our example I've taken a few extra steps to give you some help.

1.There is not only tab, but also notes to shows you the rhythm of the notes to be played.

2.I've included chords for the guitar player who'd rather just sing along and strum instead of learning the melody.

3.You can download a pdf file by right clicking and saving the file to your computer.
