Director of Music or Music Minister

Zion "Goshert's" United Church of Christ, Lebanon, is searching for a part-time Director of Music or Minister of Music. The position is 5-7 hours per week and involves directing a small church choir (10 mo./yr.), maintaining the church music library, collaborating with the pastor and organist with music for worship, collaborating with some Christian education programs, and coordinating and encouraging special music.

We prefer an individual with a background in vocal music or conducting, and we prefer an individual who can also play anothe

r worship instrument (piano, guitar, etc.). This is a 12-month, salaried position, compensation is negotiable and could include use of church facilities for private lessons.

Our worship style is a contemporary approach to traditional, our congregation is theologically diverse and open to new ideas. We expect to select a new hymnal and consider implementing multimedia elements to our Sunday worship in the first 1-2 years after this hire, making this a very exciting opportunity to the right person.
