Director of Music Ministry
St. Anne Catholic Church in Pleasant Prairie, WI is seeking a Director of Music Ministry to support and enhance our community prayer and worship. We are an active, vibrant 11 year old parish of 850+ households on the Wisconsin/Illinois border in Kenosha County.

The director is responsible for the planning of and participation in all of the music of the church. Major responsibilities include directing the adult choir (30-35 members), preparing cantors (15- 20), directing the children’s choir (20-30 members), and providing keyboard and vocal accompaniment for 3 weekend and Holy Day masses.

This is a 30 hour per week position with benefits. We are open to negotiating the job to accommodate the sharing of responsibilities. The position is available in August 2009.

We expect a candidate to have
• Experience as a musician in Catholic worship
• Working knowledge of current liturgical music
• Proven vocal, keyboard, and conducting skills
• Ability to train and develop choirs, cantors, and other musicians
• Ability to select appropriate repertoire
• Knowledge of Vatican II sacramental theology
• BA degree or equivalent
