Director of Contemporary Music

Arcola United Methodist Church is seeking a gifted leader passionate about contemporary music and worship to serve as a part-time Director of Contemporary Worship. AUMC is looking to expand its monthly contemporary worship service to a weekly worship service, and is in need of the right worship leader to help with that transition.

Qualifications:
• Clear vision of ministry and ability to inspire and equip others
• Experience in leading music in contemporary worship services
• Familiarity with range of contemporary Christian music resources
• Musical ability and leadership skills to lead rehearsals
• Guitar Player is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities:
• Work with the pastor to plan and lead weekly contemporary worship
• Be present to lead worship on a weekly basis
• Lead the worship team in a weekly rehearsal
• Organize music and schedules for the worship team
• Recruit and train volunteers

Compensation: This is a part-time paid position, no benefits offered currently.
Desired Start Date: July 1
