Director of Church Music/Organist

Director of Church Music/Organist is wanted for a full time position to develop, establish, and maintain an innovative music ministry program.

St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, a large ELCA congregation located 8 miles south of Baltimore (near BWI Airport), is seeking candidates familiar with the format and liturgy of the church service who would assist the church in meeting its mission of Christian outreach and community involvement through its music program.

Potential candidates are required to have earned a Bachelor’s degree in music (graduate degree preferred) and demonstrate the ability to lead, organize, and coordinate music for both traditional and contemporary services with the goal of promoting Christian fellowship.
