Church Music Associate

New Life Presbyterian Church in Fruitland Park, FL (about one hour north of Orlando) seeks a Part Time (approx 15 hours per week) Music Associate. This person will be able to provide musical expertise as a part of the music ministry, and will also be able to provide administrative support of the worship and music ministries of the church.

RESPONSIBILITIES will include:
1. Rehearsal and performance with the Praise Team, eventually leading the team. (A strong musician with good vocal and preferably guitar skills, and an appreciation for both Contemporary and Traditional worship)
2. Active membership as a vocalist in the Choir, able to conduct the group in the director's absence.
3. Direction of additional musical groups as requested by the Director. (Ability to lead small vocal ensembles, instrumental ensembles and handbells)
4. Liaison for the technical aspects of worship; specifically, Powerpoint, audio and lighting
5. Administrative support for the ongoing activities of music and worship ministries. (Computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office are imperative)

TIME ON SITE will primarily be Tuesdays from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm, Wednesdays from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, and Sundays from 8:00 to noon.

COMPENSATION minimum is $300 per week.
