Choral Director Needed

The West Hempfield Presbyterian Church, a mid-size family-friendly congregation, located in Irwin, PA is currently searching for a christian choral director for our 16 member chancel choir to start in the fall of 2009. Rehearsals are presently held one evening a week for approximately 1 1/2 hours September through May, with the choir leading worship during one of our Sunday morning services.

The choral director’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, choral selection, directing the chancel choir, maintaining the church music library, instruction and guidance to new choir members, spiritual leadership, seasonal and special services, and developing and discovering other music programs such as a bell choir, children’s choir, etc. This is a salaried position based on experience.
