Unity of the Triangle is currently housed in the beautiful and historic 150-year-old former Tabernacle Baptist Church that has been renamed The Longview Center http://www.longviewcenter.com/. We are an inclusive congregation that includes many lifestyles, cultures, colors and family configurations. Our current minister (of 6 years) was a former member of Glide Church in San Francisco. He brought to us the belief that music plays a valuable and important part in the growth and spiritual experience of any congregation http://www.glide.org/Ensemble.aspx and we refer to Glide as an example of the importance of music in the life and growth of our Church.

The choir sings the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. We practice every Wednesday evening. On alternating Sundays there are guest musicians/artists (from inside and outside the congregation). We currently have 30 to 35 regular choir members (at our Christmas concert, I counted 40+). We would like to raise the volume and energy level with additional voices. Our band is predictably two guitars and drums. We occasionally have a saxophone player, additional guitarist, fiddle and tambourine.

Our music choices are less traditional than most churches. The choir (and congregation), for instance, enjoys Agape Music of Dr. Michael Beckwith, Rickie Byars; Richard Smallwood; Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. Here are a couple of links to music we have recently sung.
