Thanksgiving

As Psalm 136 says, "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His lovingkindness is everlasting."

I had a wonderful opportunity to lead the service our church had this past Sunday night. It featured a baptism, testimony time and praise songs of thankfulness to God. It was a bit of a last minute thing as the worship pastor and I went over the songs just the night before.

Nevertheless participating in the service provided me some time to realize all over again how good God is. Last year I had stood up at that very service to share how I was recently unemployed and wasn't sure how things would turn out, but had hope that Romans 8:32 is true. (He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not, also with Him, freely give us all things?)

...so if you're wondering, today, I'm employed again - and whatever you're facing, God is greater, my friend.
