Happy Summer,
In Psalm 23 this month I've been helped by a few words toward the end of the Psalm. Many of us know it as "Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life".
But the New Living Translation says it this way. "Surely your goodness and lovingkindness will pursue me all the days of my life." I just love the idea that God is pursuing me.
It's easy to feel left alone when jobs end and the process to find a replacement drags on and on; or when you just feel out of place or can't completely understood your current setting. It's easy to wonder where God went.
In the New American Standard for the word "surely", the concordance shows "only". So, "only goodness and lovingkindness" pursue us every day. Might it just be that times like this teach more about worship than exuberant conferences or events?
