I heard this recently and it is so true - “no one will ever live in a way inconsistent with how he perceives himself to be”.
The context was from the text of Ephesians chapter 1 where Paul prays for us that we would know the hope of His calling, His surpassing great power to us who believe, and the riches of His glory in His inheritance in the saints.
This is how we need to see ourselves – the way God sees us. Sometimes the mountain to which our faith must be applied is us – the way we think apart from appropriating God's amazing grace.
May you be freed from your old ways of thinking to embrace God's grace. May that grace, not your performance, fill your life with with God-breathed hope for His future for you.
